- Repotting
- The purpose of this is to give a grater area of soil in which the pruned roots can can make further growth.
- The timing depends on the kind of the tree, but generally, in Spring and Fall.
- Things you should prepare・・・・plastic mesh, the aluminium wire (2mm and 1.2mm), scissors,pliers, chopstics, fresh soil
- you need some tools
- select new pot
- best position, slope you think
- Cut the aluminium wire into the size of the pot.
- Cut the 1.2mm thick wire into the height of the tree.
- Bend the 2mm wire into the “U” shape.
- Cover the drainage hole with the plastic mesh with the “U” wire.
- To hold stationary, bend the wire the contrary way and shape it like “S”
- Put the 1.2mm wire through the bottom, and sprad the ends.
- Pick at the tree with chopstics.
- Cut the lower roots like photo above.
- Put the fresh soil in the new pot and place your tree.
- From side, fasten the wire with pliers.
- Add some more fresh soil into space and stuff ithem in.
- If the tree is stable, then your repotting succeeded.
