I went to Omiya Bonsai Museum in Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture. Omiya Bonsai Art Museum was opened to the public in March 2010. Did you know that bonsai that appears to be thriving in the area of Saitama? Though I was born and raised in Saitama, I did not know about it until recently.
Location is about a 10-minute walk from Omiya Park Station of Tobu Noda Line, and about a 5-minute walk from Toro Station JR Utsunomiya Line. The area is referred to as the Omiya Bonsai Village, is a famous upscale residential area of Saitama. City is very beautiful.
Maple and pine trees, and a fine plum is planted as a roadside tree by the side of the cobblestone streets, and there was a lantern too.
Walk through the cobblestone streets, you will now reach the museum!
The museum is clean and it has the relaxed atmosphere.
Gorgeous bonsai were exhibited in the lobby.
Bonsai on display every season is different.
There is a window overlooking the garden on the south side of the lobby,
I was driven by a desire to want to see the bonsai soon.
Learning about Bonsai!
Before I go out and check all the bonsais, I walked through the exhibit inside. There was panel desplay about the history of bonsai, how to enjoy it. At the end of road, I found the bonsai in the typical japanese atomosphere. The Japanese beauty was all over the place. It's shame though. No photo were allowed on this area, so I can't show you the beautiful bonsai.
Outside the window!
Finally, I went outside, There were over 40 gorgeous bonsai. I walked around to see all of them. Of cause there was the famous kind of tree like Japanese white pine. But GUESS WHAT!!!! I found a big bonsai that is more than 1metre heigh (3.33ft)! It was stanning and fabulous. As I studied inside of the museum, I could enjoyed the bonsai even though I was a complete beginner!
There were a lot of foreigners there and they seemed like faving a lot of fun. If you are looking for more spice in life, and been to ASAKUSA, the next place you would want to go is BONSAI MUSEUM!!! Well, I wasn't allowed to take any photo there as well..... BUT! I could take photo of the garden from the second floor! It was fantastic, so don't forget to go up stairs when you go Omiya Bonsai Museum!
It's lemonade. And it was made on the image of the pine leaves, so it is very fizzy and less sweet than other lemonade. There are many more interesting goods for souvenir, so please check them when you visit.
